Pulaar

Pulaar (or Fula) is spoken mostly throughout the Fouta Djallon region in central Guinea. However, the Pulaar people are scattered throughout Guinea.

The Pulaar Guide for Peace Corps Guinea  is the best resource for learning this difficult and amazing language. Developed by Herb Caudill (RPCV), this is a .pdf document (readable with Adobe Acrobat reader).  Complete with silly pictures and cultural guides.

Parlons Pular, by Peace Corps very own Alpha Baldé, is now for sale. Click here for a summary (in french and english). Click here to purchase.

Malinke is somewhat like Bambara and is spoken mostly in Haute (Upper) Guinea.
We have the Peace Corps Guinea Malinke manual.
