SWEET TREAT
Thiacri Senegalais

Although eaten in neighboring Senegal, Thiacri is also a favorite dish in Guinea, as a wonderful after dinner treat during celebrations, or a specialty eaten after breaking the fast during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups uncooked couscous marocain
- 1 32 oz. container of DANNON vanilla yogurt
- 1 small (6oz.) can of CARNATION condensed milk (non-sucré)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- OR substitute sweetened, condensed milk and omit the sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1
Prepare couscous according to directions. Couscous should be light, not sticky with clumps. Set aside.
Step 2
Mix yogurt, condensed milk, sugar and vanilla extract. This should form a very thick milk mixture.
Step 3
Chill milk and couscous.
Step 4
Pour milk into small cups.
Step 5
Add couscous to cups and mix well. Eat with a spoon.
